Pattaya City together with Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya Office Sports Authority of Thailand joins private press conference for “Pattaya Marathon 2018”  with the total prize money of more than 1 million baht!  The marathon starts this July 15th!

The “Pattaya Marathon” was first held in 1992 and is held every year after that becoming the city’s traditional run and it became a symbol of the sport to build a reputation for Chonburi. Every year the Pattaya people are proud happy to host this special local tradition for all people, tourist and visitors. 

It is one of Pattaya’s development strategies that use the Sports and Recreation program to promote tourism in accordance with government policy, this year there is a lot of interest from both Thai and foreign runners for “Pattaya Marathon 2018”.

The 27th annual Pattaya Marathon is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 15th at Pattaya Beach Road, Chonburi. Pattaya City is aiming for a new dimension that will impress all attendees, and this year it is expected that it will attract more than 10,000 runners and visitors which will help promote the sport tourism of Pattaya on becoming the center of international sporting events in the future. It also stimulates the economy of Pattaya to the country as a whole. On behalf of Pattaya We are very pleased that the event “Pattaya Marathon 2018” has received great cooperation and support from both the public and private sectors to make this event even bigger than last year, and believe that it will be a race to impress the runners again.

For the “Pattaya Marathon 2018” that will be held on Sunday, July 15th this year at the Pattaya Beach Road Central Chonburi. The competition is divided into four categories:

1. Male and Female Marathon: Distance 42.195 km – Fee: 1,000 Baht.

2. Male and Female Half Marathon Distance 21.100 km – Fee: 700 Baht 

3. Quarter Marathon Men and Women Distance 10.550 km – Fee: 500 Baht

4. The micro marathon or Fun Run, 3.7 km distance, will be divided into groups of students aged 14 and over, male and female, and the general public. No fee

Winners 1-5 in each category, splitted by age, will receive cups and plaques and commemorative medals for all runners who hit the finish line at the appointed time.
